1.5 tsp BID is 1.5 teaspoon twice a day=3 tsp a day

3 teaspoons=15 mL (1 tsp=5 mL)

So the patient will be taking 15 mL a day.

The drug you have is 2 mg/5 mL

so:

2 mg/5 mL= x mg/15 mL --> 5x=30 x=6 mg a day

And if the problem was asking for days supply, you would divide 120ml/15ml=8 day supply

The question is asking for MG not ML, so it should be 7.5 mg
