by Sonny

A physician wrote a prescription for testosterone cypionate 200 mg/mL solution with the instructions to inject 0.75 mL intramuscularly once every two weeks. How many grams of the drug will the patient inject over the course of one year?

Each dose:
0.75 mL X (200 mg/1 mL) = 150 mg

When taken every other week in the 52-week year:
26 doses X (150 mg/dose)
= 3900 mg
= 3.6 grams
